Maintains, develops, and expands website content, administration tools and site functionality (including interactive applications and portals), according to specifications and requirements; create web pages and websites; and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Develops and manages content for the department website and patient communication.
2. Assists in the implementation of web content strategies to improve internal and external communications; generates interest and conveys messages through persuasive multi-media content; presents content clearly in accordance with editorial policy and web graphic treatments.
3. Meets with key stakeholders to determine divisional and program marketing needs and goals.
4. Creates and sources content for websites, including articles, links, or FAQs; prepares text content for distribution through web or other media; edit copy and clear copyright for use of any existing content.
5. Promotes websites and news media technologies through search engine optimization.
6. Responds to user inquires, comments and suggestions; edits content contributions and modifies design to follow; updates and maintains sensitive materials; maintains menus, indexes and directories within sites; ensures archive and backup content.
7. Works collaboratively with UMMC, and UMB SOM web teams.
8. Manages intranet and web related content, services, pages, and infrastructure.
