About the Commission: The Clinton Township Housing Commission, established in 1968 by the Federal Government, aims to provide safe, decent, and sanitary housing for low-income families. It is governed by a five-person Board of Commissioners and operates under the guidelines set by the federal government. The commission manages 100 units catering to a diverse demographic, including seniors and families, and offers various programs to its tenants .

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations and administration of the Housing Commission.

• Implement and enforce income guidelines for admissions and occupancy.

• Manage the development and implementation of tenant programs.

• Ensure the housing provided meets safety, decency, and sanitary standards.

• Engage with the community and represent the Commission in public forums.

• Work closely with the Board of Commissioners to ensure smooth operation of the Commission.

• Develop and manage the Commission’s budget and financial operations.

• Lead strategic planning efforts to address housing needs within the community.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in housing management, public administration, or a related field.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Knowledge of federal housing regulations and guidelines.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and the public.
