Associate Medical Director supports the implementation of medical policies for the entire organization. Ensures the delivery of quality patient care. Being an Associate Medical Director researches and evaluates new treatments and medical innovations. Works collaboratively throughout the organization to ensure the adoption of standards and policies for all functional aspects of clinical services that result in patient care improvements. Additionally, Associate Medical Director requires a MD degree. Typically reports to Medical Director. The Associate Medical Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Associate Medical Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Your Role With Us:

    Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine; residency training program completed Board certification/board eligible required (in FM, IM, etc.) OR Degree of nurse practitioner OR Degree of physician assistant .

    This position has the duty and responsibility of overseeing the provision of urgent care, occupational medicine and employee health services at Salem Health and provides urgent care and/or occupational medicine services to patients of Salem Health. In the role as Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine & Employee Health Medical Director, you demonstrate your commitment to always providing the best care to all patients. You are committed to evidence-based diagnosis and treatment, and you partner with medical and business colleagues to ensure careful diagnosis is combined with what is best for the patient and his/her family.
