Associate Pastor assists the pastor in religious services and managing daily operations of an organization. Leads and implements outreach and educational programs and events that will maintain and grow membership. Being an Associate Pastor provides clerical support such as researching, selecting, and documenting passages or prayers to assist the pastor in planning and leading worship. Assists with administrative duties including managing calendars and schedules, preparing materials or educational documents, and communicating with volunteers. Additionally, Associate Pastor performs religious services and leads prayer. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a pastor. The Associate Pastor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. This is a full time on site role for a Pastor. The Pastor will be responsible for leading worship services, preaching sermons, providing pastoral care, and overseeing discipleship programs.
Qualifications:
Pastoring and Pastoral care skills
Deep understand of and appreciation for the Bible
Experience with providing spiritual guidance and counseling
Ability to create and implement discipleship programs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in Theology, Divinity, or related field
Ordination or certification from a recognized religious institution is preferred
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include experience leading worship services, and experience working in diverse communities.
