Job Title Clinical Assistant Professor - Foreign Language and Literacy Education Posting Number P1569F Position Summary InformationJob Description Summary Clinical Assistant Professor. This twelve-month, non-tenure-track position in the Department of Curriculum & Teaching begins August 2024. The 12-month appointment will include teaching undergraduate and graduate foreign language education courses. The individual will be responsible for expanding the foreign language program. In this role, they will focus on developing and implementing a strategic marketing plan for the foreign language education program and making necessary curriculum revisions that align with current best-practices in foreign language education. A successful candidate will also teach a class in disciplinary literacies each semester for the reading education program. Review of applications will begin February 16th and continue until the position is filled.The Department of Curriculum and Teaching is housed in the College of Education. The department offers a range of undergraduate, master's, specialist, and doctoral degrees in teacher education.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESO Teach and coordinate undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in support of the foreign language education program.O Advise and mentor graduate students in foreign language education.O Supervise foreign language education student teachers.O Participate in the planning and implementation of curricular changes for the foreign language education program.O Provide institutional service as assigned by the department head and engage in professional service within the discipline.O Participate in professional activities as needed to ensure the well-being of the program, department, and college.Auburn University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
