A Ph.D. in mathematics, mathematics education, or a closely related area by the time of appointment.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
K-12 teaching experience;
Experience in teaching or collaborating with Mathematics Education programs;
A background of research in mathematics education.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach mathematics and mathematics education courses for elementary, middle childhood, and secondary education programs;
Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in mathematics education programs;
Collaborate with department faculty to improve mathematics education programs and ensure compliance with requirements;
Collaborate with the School of Education, Arkansas Education Department to improve mathematics teaching and learning experience for preservice and in-service teachers;
Conduct and publish research in mathematics and/or mathematics education;
Solicit research or project funding in mathematics education;
Perform other duties and services as needed in the department, college, and university.
