Become an integral part of hosting live entertainment events! As a Hospitality Host you will report directly to the Production Manager and provide support in the hospitality area where our performers spend their time resting, having their meals, and preparing for their performances. A successful candidate will create a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for performers to recharge in.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Fulfills hospitality requirements for each performer according to the specifics in their Rider
· Performs opening and closing operational duties to support the kitchen staff
· Assists with preparing breakfast, lunch, and appetizers for the artists
· Assists with catering and other projects as needed to help ensure our smooth operations
· Responsible for maintaining and keeping the hospitality area in working condition, including bathrooms, dressing areas, and rest areas
· Replenishes inventory and stock items
Qualifications:
· Restaurant and/or hospitality industry experience is a plus.
· Friendly and energetic demeanor, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and move quickly during busy times.
· Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with a wide variety of people from management to peers
· Ability to address and handle changing concerns courteously and respectfully
· Reliable, responsible, and dependable
Physical Demands/ Working Environment:
· Must be available for show dates in the Season, June - September
· Able to lift 50 pounds and walk 25 feet with it.
· Prolonged periods of standing, bending, walking, twisting, and climbing stairs
· Ability to work outside in varying temperatures and in a fast-paced environment
· Reliable transportation to and from work
Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis, MA and the South Shore Music Circus in Cohasset, MA, are sister venues, each with a 2300 seating capacity for all-ages. Our venues are seasonal tented outdoor theaters. We have been presenting national touring live music, children’s theater, and comedy performances continuously for over 69 years.
