Aviation Manager manages overall aviation operations focused on operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory and organizational operating policies, procedures, and standards. Develops plans and schedules skill development and training sessions for pilots, crews, and operators. Being a Aviation Manager ensures all operations follow and comply with current FAA regulations, airworthiness, and safety standards. Oversees flight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, and inspection operations. Additionally, Aviation Manager applies risk management best practices for safety to assess and manage operations May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Aviation Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Essential Functions:
The Airline Ground Safety Manager reports to the Director, Safety, Security, & Quality North America and is responsible for the following:
Achievement of departments and company goals
Competency:
Oversees and primary responsibility for Safety, OSHA and FAA regulatory compliance at PrimeFlight. The manager is responsible to have knowledge of federal OSHA and local Safety requirements (i.e. state, city). The manager must have a proven track record for decisive actions continuous improvement, goal-directed leadership and service-oriented performance. This manager will deliver results through leadership, direction, alignment and motivation. Manage and successfully lead a team comprised of safety supervisors. This leader coordinates local safety and compliance efforts with leadership and coordinates investigations, analysis, and reporting for incidents, accidents, injuries and issues of regulatory non-compliance. Serves as primary liaison between PrimeFlight Safety and PrimeFlight Management.

Education/Experience:
Required: Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in Safety, Working knowledge of OSHA requirements. Preferred Bachelor’s degree OSHA 10-30 certified.

Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License with a clean and verifiable driving record.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Computer Skills:
Working knowledge is required in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and other related tasks.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Ensure staff adheres to all PrimeFlight guidelines and safety standards. Assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Manage and successfully lead a team comprised of safety supervisors
