Behavioral Home Care Aide jobs in Kansas
Behavioral Home Care Aide provides household management activities and care for patients suffering from mental illness and developmental disabilities. Assists patient with medications and activities of daily living skills, including personal hygiene. Being a Behavioral Home Care Aide establishes a therapeutic relationship with patient and implements treatment plans under the supervision of a professional clinician. May be required to document progress in accordance with established procedures. Additionally, Behavioral Home Care Aide may require previous experience working with patients suffering with behavioral health disorders. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Behavioral Home Care Aide 's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. About the position: Primary functions of the Registered Nurse are to provide psychiatric evaluation and therapy, such as skilled nursing care, to home bound patients, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and referring agency; and assumes the responsibility for coordination of care. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing. Must have 1-2 years of nursing experience (within the last 3 years preferred) in an acute treatment unit in a psychiatric hospital, psychiatric home care, psychiatric hospitalization program, or other outpatient psychiatric service. Current state license as a Registered Nurse, Current state Driver’s License. Proof of current CPR and Hepatitis consent/declination.
