Benefits Manager develops, implements, administers, and maintains benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures programs are equitable, meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective. Being a Benefits Manager develops benefits communications and counsels employees on benefits related issues. Evaluates existing benefits programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends and developments. Additionally, Benefits Manager requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). Typically reports to director. The Benefits Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. The Benefits Claims Specialist will be responsible for the organization’s flexible spending account and tuition reimbursement benefits. This includes processing claims, auditing reimbursement requests, and answering phone calls from plan participants and clients. The position resides in a commercial office setting. Remote equipment is provided for business continuity purposes for all trained employees. The candidate must be capable of working onsite Full-time, especially during introductory training period (roughly 90-120 days).
