**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Supervisor to join our healthcare team. The Nursing Supervisor will oversee the nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to In-Home Care standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices.
**Duties:**
- Supervises all nursing services offered by the Home Care Agency. Provides ongoing instruction and education of clients' health care plan to family and or other health team personnel
- Supervises and assists staff, when necessary, in development of care plans for nursing cases, initial evaluation visits, and all other R.N. staff duties
- Provide guidance and support to nursing team members
- Ensures compliance with all State, Federal and local laws regarding licensure and certification of staff. Practices safety, enviromental, and/or infection control measures.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff
- Assist in training new nursing staff
- Ensures proper maintenance of medical records as prescribed and in compliance with local, state, and federal laws. To include but not limited to maintaining 485's, Plans of Care, MARS and MD orders, HCY paperwork, nurse visits and Prior Authorizations.
- Report and client care and/or performance issues, safety concerns regarding lifting/transferring, enviroment, or other issues. We are a mandatory reporting Agency.
-May assist with interviewing of nursing and aide personnel with Human Resources.
- Promotes home care referrals in the home care community
-Oversees the maintenance of stock, nursing supplies, and equipment.
- Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home care, and shares information with appropriate staff and administrative personnel
- Completes performance evaluations for nursing personnel at intervals stated in agency personnel policy.
- Ensures appropriate case conferences are conducted on all cases monthly
- Communicates, on an on- going basis with the administrative nursing staff, all pertinent information needed to perform daily activities of the Agency.
- Other duties assigned by the Administrator
**Requirements:**
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Require understanding of DHSS regulations, Medicaid
- Proficiency in case management and patient care coordination
- Occassional lifting up to 50lbs
- Familiarity with In-Home care practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, internet applications and patient software programs
