Breast Center Manager manages the day-to-day operations of one or more mammography clinics. Responsibilities may include staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, and marketing for the clinic(s). Being a Breast Center Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a director. The Breast Center Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Breast Care for Washington is the only community-based, non-profit breast cancer-screening center in Washington DC area with 3D technology. We provide services to all regardless of their ability to pay. We have a small but energetic team who is dedicated to providing life saving screenings for women in the community. You will have the opportunity to work at our location or travel with our mammovan to locations around the DC Metro area.
Requirements: Must have a high school diploma and be certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Clinical Radiologic Technologists and have documented 40 hours of training in mammography. Must be current on CEU requirements as mandated by the ACR. Two years clinical experience is preferred.
Perform routine and advanced mammogram imaging.
Must be comfortable with imaging equipment, computers and image archiving systems.
The technologist must be able to provide basic maintenance and repairs, participate in QA and resolve issues related to equipment.
The technologist will be assigned to work in various locations: in the office or on the mammogram van.
The technologist works collaboratively with staff and physicians to prioritize and organize schedules.
Must be comfortable speaking with patients and families.
The technologist will assist in training student imaging technologists.
