Duties:
Daily tasks: Operate POS system, maintain health of nursery plants, organize ordering and inventory, run social media accounts, operate forklift, administrative tasks.
Organization: Efficiently process and fulfill customer orders, prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to meet customer demands while maintaining quality standards and adhering to deadlines. Work diligently to balance customer needs with operational constraints. Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the order fulfillment workflow.
Plant Expertise: Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of various plant species, including their growth habits, maintenance requirements, and environmental preferences.
Customer Service and Consultation: Engage with customers to understand their gardening needs, preferences, and constraints. Utilize your expertise to recommend suitable plants that align with their specific requirements. Offer alternative plant options when certain species may not be available or suitable for the customer's needs.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a team of employees to assist in daily tasks.
Communication: collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans.
Community Outreach: create opportunities to make contact with the local and extended community. Find ways to give back when possible.
