To help keep up with this growth we are looking for an outstanding Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer to be a part of our Fitness team.

Overview

Teach, motivate, and inspire others to reach personal fitness/wellness goals with corporate wellness as main focus. Maintain Fitness Center and keeps facility in running order. Personal training promotions and sales. Manages Fitness Center employee’s schedules.

Responsibilities

Essential

• Must be able to direct others to perform safe and effective exercises.
• Familiarize members with equipment and proper training techniques.
• Create individualized workout and nutrition plans.
• Body fat compositions and general fitness analysis.
• Member tracking.
• Keep weight room in order.
• Phone calls.
• Create group exercise programs and seminars (12 week weight loss, changing habits, etc…)
• Organize all the personal trainer schedules
• Make sure cleanliness of the gym is up kept
• Make sure reception desk is covered at all times
• Generates ideas to help the Fitness Center increase income.
• Organize group fitness classes.
• Organize personal training promotions.
• Organize personal training schedules with other trainers and clients.
• Organize overall fitness center.
• Wash and fold towels.
• Greet members as the leave and enter fitness center.
• Open or Close Facility.
• Strong customer relation skills.
• Ability to handle conflicts.
• Delegation of projects and task to others.
• Works with HR department to hire employees as needed.
• Responsible for training new employees.
• Oversees all membership enrollments and cancellations.
• Maintains Fitness Center budget.
• Plans yearly events and fitness challenges.
• Organizes and oversees yearly 5K/10K Run event for Melaleuca employees and families.

Qualifications

Essential

• CPR certified
• Must be nationally certified ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM, or equivalent.

• one or more years pervious experience in fitness industry or equivalent.
• General business skills
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Pulling, stretching, bending, and lifting for duration of shift.
