Breast Center Manager manages the day-to-day operations of one or more mammography clinics. Responsibilities may include staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, and marketing for the clinic(s). Being a Breast Center Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a director. The Breast Center Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. SUMMARY:
The Certified Medical Assistant functions as a member of the patient care team, contributing to the health management of the patients; performs a variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for Clinic patients, many in assistance to section physicians and under the direction and supervision of the Patient Care Manager; maintains primary responsibility for all technical procedures and the operation and care of the nursing unit in the department.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training which will probably be indicated by certification from an accredited medical assistant program; current CPR certification; two years broad experience with emphasis in family practice.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; lift, move and transport patients, equipment and supplies; motor coordination and manual dexterity; articulate speech; ability to read and understand orders; visual acuity.
