Budget Director directs and controls an organization's budgeting and financial forecasting activities. Leads the budgeting process for annual, quarterly, and monthly budget development. Being a Budget Director develops budgetary policies and guidelines to meet short and long-term financial goals. Establishes processes to incorporate past financial results into budget development. Additionally, Budget Director monitors and analyzes performance against budgets. Develops and implements tools and reporting used for planning, forecasting, monitoring, and decision support. Presents budget data to senior management and/or board. May require a MBA. Typically reports to top management. The Budget Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Budget Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Berwick Academy seeks a qualified Director of Rowing for its Upper School Crew program. Berwick offers an established rowing program that has qualified for New England Intercollegiate Rowing Association (NEIRA) Championships in past years. We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and dedicated leader to coach the team’s dedicated and driven athletes, from novice to experienced high school rowers.
Job requirements include:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Compliance with all procedures and policies of crew facilities and US Rowing
· Prior rowing experience
· Prior coaching experience, specifically in club or school level
· Ability to organize and administer training plan and to direct practices
· Required attendance at practice and races
· Exceptional communication and motivational skills
· Ability to establish positive relationships with our student-athletes, families, and school administration
· Excellent time management skills
· Excellent personal character
Though not required, this position could be combined with a full-time faculty position if the candidate’s skills and experience match with current needs within the academic program.
