Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bursar to join our team. The Bursar will oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of financial operations, including accounts receivable, payroll, and budgeting
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of financial transactions
- Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures
- Prepare financial reports for management
- Collaborate with internal departments to address financial inquiries
- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships
- Oversee compliance with governmental accounting standards

Experience:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in accounting principles, including debits and credits
- Experience in technical accounting and corporate accounting
- Strong understanding of budgeting processes
- Financial acumen and ability to apply financial concepts effectively
- Knowledge of governmental accounting regulations

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Previous experience in a similar role within a higher education institution or non-profit organization

• Oversee day to day cash management.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Keep books and records organized, organize tuition fees, files, receipts, and file updates.
• Prepare expense reports on a regular basis.
• Computer literacy (MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, QuickBooks).
• Knowledge of accounting procedures and best practices.
• Familiarity with budget preparation and cash flow management.
• Time management skills with the ability to prioritize work.
• Excellent analytical skills and experience in creating reports.

We are looking for a Bursar to oversee the day-to-day operation of our financial services, like collecting tuition fees and managing account receivable/payable.

The main responsibilities include management of our budget, procurement and payment of supplies and setup of our financial procedures. You will also undertake general and financial administrative tasks (e.g. managing employment contracts, ensuring compliance with the law, and contacting local authorities.) To be successful in this role, you should be able to perform multiple tasks in a timely and effective manner, under minimum supervision.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
