Business Continuity Manager leads the implementation and supports the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Business Continuity Manager leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Business Continuity Manager supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Business Continuity Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Summary:
With minimal supervision, the Business Continuity Coordinator administers and facilitates all business continuity planning activities. The coordinator is expected to interact with critical business units and vendors for the purpose of planning, directing, and maintaining the business continuity effort.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The Business Continuity Coordinator will be responsible for developing an effective BCP program, including disaster recovery planning and IT crisis management, which enables business and technology operations to plan, exercise and effectively recover from business disruptions.

Specifications:
Bachelor’s degree required or 4 years of experience in business continuity planning or disaster recovery. The Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification is required within 24 months of hire. Individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and have a comfort level in working with different software packages. The Business Continuity Coordinator must have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills are also required. This individual must have demonstrated experience working independently or in a team and/or project environment. Due to the nature of the job, evening and weekend work will be required.
