Summary:
The SCM Data Analyst (SCM Data Custodian) plays a critical role in managing and safeguarding supply chain data within the Shared Business Operations (SBO). The primary responsibility of the SCM Data Custodian is to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of supply chain data throughout its lifecycle. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes, data management practices, and compliance requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures for supply chain data. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data retention and disposal strategies.
- Data Management and Quality: Oversee the collection, validation, cleansing, and maintenance of supply chain data. Develop and implement data quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Monitor data entry processes and provide guidance to ensure adherence to data standards.
- Data Security and Confidentiality: Implement and maintain security controls to protect supply chain data from unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure. Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address data security risks. Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement data encryption, access controls, and data loss prevention measures.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and develop reporting frameworks. Generate and analyze reports to provide insights into supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement. Develop and maintain data dashboards and visualizations to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Collaborate with external vendors and partners to establish data sharing agreements and ensure compliance. Monitor data exchanges with third parties and manage data access permissions and restrictions. Conduct regular assessments of vendor data security practices and perform due diligence on new vendors.
- Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training programs to educate supply chain personnel on data management best practices. Maintain documentation of data management processes, procedures, and guidelines. Provide guidance and support to users regarding data-related queries and issues.
Qualifications:
Required Education: Associate’s Degree
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years of proven experience in data management, data governance, or a similar role, preferably in a supply chain environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and demand planning.
- Strong Oracle Fusion experience working with supply chain data, especially loading data via the Oracle FBDI and CSV import tools.
- Strong Oracle Fusions experience creating queries and reports to pull data from Oracle to identify data issues.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience working with ServiceNow
- Previous experience vetting new supplier and Item requests
Preferred License/Registration/Certification:
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), and Six Sigma.
Computer Skills Required:
Google Suite preferred; willingness to learn Oracle and leverage the training, reporting, and process components to excel at the role.
