Business Development Director jobs in Arlington, TX

Business Development Director directs the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Director develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Oversees the development of proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manages negotiations. Additionally, Business Development Director collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Business Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • Job Summary: The Director of Sales and Business Development is responsible for ongoing acquisition and development of customer relationships. Additionally, the role requires a keen understanding of the market, customer demand, industry intelligence and sharing their knowledge with the rest of the commercial team. 

    The Director of Sales and Business Development position must be willing to travel to visit customers, vendors and attend industry conferences. It requires that one be a self-starter, able to work as part of a team and willing to assist with all day-to-day operations inherent to a rapidly growing organization 

     

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 

    • Establish TrueAero as an approved supplier for selected accounts 
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to Sales team 
    • Generate new opportunities for the purchase of assets 
    • Ensure inventory sales are aligned with market value 
    • Attended industry conferences and networking events 
    • Maintain high energy, positive attitude, and great sense of humor 
    • Other tasks and projects as directed by management  

     

    Required Experience: 

    • A bachelor's or master’s degree and at least five years experience in commercial aviation 
    • Strong communication, consultation, and relationship management skills 
    • Detail orientation with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment 
    • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
