Business Development Director directs the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Director develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Oversees the development of proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manages negotiations. Additionally, Business Development Director collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Business Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Attributes Of An Ideal Candidate / What You’ll Do In This Role

    • Strong presence, comfortable conversing with high level executives, CEO’s, and high net worth individuals. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Bachelor's degree required, 1-2 years experience in a sales role preferred. Extreme desire to build a career in sales/marketing.
    • Skilled relationship builder with a passion for networking and being part of a team.
    • System thinker, capable of efficiently finding new ways to use tools (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot).
    • Active hunter, prospecting leads through various channels (cold calling, email campaigns, social media, networking, and more).
    • Qualify prospects, leveraging shrewd business judgment to uncover needs, challenges, and buying behavior to determine the likelihood of a sale.
    • Craft bespoke, curated messaging consistent with the company brand and offering.
    • Systematically execute customer outreach via emails, phone calls, or other channels introducing the company's products/services.
    • Own the professional and timely interaction with prospects, culminating in an appointment or meeting where the prospect has all relevant information in hand.
    • Extreme: process orientation, discipline, bias to action. Proof of grit. HumBold: humble yet bold. Always learning.
