Business Development Supervisor identifies, evaluates, and pursues business opportunities with partners or potential customers. Coordinates and negotiates with other departments to implement marketing initiatives. Being a Business Development Supervisor is responsible for maintaining close relationship with existing clients. Acquires new customers, retains and expands existing customer relationships. Additionally, Business Development Supervisor develops sales of products and services by investigating and resolving customer problems, recommends modifications to the product/service line, and coordinates sales negotiations with appropriate personnel. Responsible for meeting sales volume and revenue goals and standards for activity, such as number of sales calls. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance or marketing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Business Development Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Development Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Summary

    We are currently looking for a Business Development Coordinator in either our Montpelier, VT or Addison, Tx locations. Become an integral part our growing sales and marketing support team as Equity Services, Inc. continues to source, recruit, and develop our registered rep and investment advisor representative sales force. This Business Development Coordinator position is a generalist role for those familiar with the financial services industry looking to learn more about the broker dealer world. We are looking for individuals that are self-starting, self-motivating, and come to work with an entrepreneurial mindset.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Partner with ESI’s sales, recruiting, marketing and relationship management teams with various Business Development initiatives.
    • Field in-bound calls to provide high level sales, marketing, and service support
    • Effectively manage administrative details for recruiters and relationship managers; literature fulfillment, mail campaigns, lead management, and other general support
    • Support Marketing initiatives and assist in developing and executing field communications
    • Conduct proactive out-reaches to recruits and existing reps via the telephone – both unprompted and for targeted campaigns – to continue to build on the ESI relationship by providing continued support and service

    Requirements

    • 2-4 years of financial service experience
    • Professional individual with strong interpersonal, relationship management, organizational and computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Effective communication and presentation skills
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
    • A team playing and a strong individual contributor
    • Ability to pass a background check including fingerprinting
    The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
    Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
