Business Process Optimization Manager manages teams that study and develop optimization changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. Conducts research on best practices and industry trends for the business. Being a Business Process Optimization Manager oversees the in-depth analysis of existing workflows. Utilizes flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement. Additionally, Business Process Optimization Manager engages and organizes subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs. Implements the tools required to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and produce a data-driven analysis of critical functions. Introduces new business processes to the organization and produces documentation, tools, and training to support adoption. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Process Optimization Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Process Optimization Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Description

    Due to our rapid growth, Thompson Construction Group is seeking someone to lead business process improvements across all areas of the company. We anticipate these improvements will include the use of new technologies in addition to driving improvements in the use of existing technologies.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Identifies solutions for slow and/or manual processes.
    • Reviews existing technologies to ensure they are being used effectively.
    • Initiates change by demonstrating measurable positive impacts to work efficiency and effectiveness through the use of the proposed solutions.
    • Interacts with all levels within the organization to create and implement business process solutions.
    • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.
    • Creates, grows, and leads a culture that welcomes innovation and finds value in digital solutions.

    Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
    • Experience with financial and/or operations systems implementation and change management required.
    • 5 years of progressively related experience.
    • Construction industry experience is a plus. Ability to work in a fast pace, diverse work environment and collaborate with a high-performing team.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required. The preferred candidate will be able to influence all levels of the organization when process improvement opportunities are identified.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
