Campus Police Officer conduct patrols on campus to ensure security of buildings, students and staff. Responds to requests for assistance and emergencies. Being a Campus Police Officer enforces vehicle and traffic regulations. Investigates crimes. Additionally, Campus Police Officer may conduct educational activities related to safety and crime prevention. Typically require associate degree in criminal justice. May require POST(Peace Office Standards and Training) certification. Typically reports to Police Supervisor. The Campus Police Officer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     • $36.99-$46.24/hour DOQ*
    • The maximum of the lateral pay range is $55.49/hour. A hire rate over the hiring range may be considered based on candidate's qualifications and experience.

    *To be considered for hiring as a lateral police officer, you must be a full-time, sworn police officer who has completed a state-certified police academy, or you must have a valid POST (Peace Officer Standards & Training) certificate, and you are within the acceptable number of years per Colorado POST from the date of voluntary and re-hirable separation from your last police agency. Successfully served at least one year with a law enforcement agency. Applicants certified as a law enforcement officer in another state may be considered for this position who have been authorized to act as a peace officer in another state or federal jurisdiction with full arrest powers for at least the preceding three (3) years AND were employed in that capacity for at least one (1) of the three years.
