    Campus Recreation invites applications for a Facilities Associate or Assistant to join their team on campus.
    This role will be expected to perform intermediate to advanced janitorial/custodial duties, under general supervision, in Campus Recreation Facilities (Fitness and Recreation Center & Grizzly Pool). Duties include but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, trash removal, and sanitizing. Additionally, the person in this position will perform general maintenance including but not limited to, changing light bulbs and filters, and supplying paper and soap products. The role also will conduct specialty work pertaining to cleaning rubber based (Mondo brand) flooring for which approximately 30% of the flooring in the FRC consists of such flooring.
    Candidates with less than twelve (12) months directly related cleaning experience will be hired as Facilities Assistant at $16.410.
    Candidates with more than twelve (12) months directly related cleaning experience will be hired as Facilities Associate at $17.035.
    *This is a night shift position. The schedule is: 9:00pm to 5:30am. Five days on, two days off.*

    Physical Requirements:

    • Lifting: Ground to 60 inches, up to 35 lbs. Ground to 30 inches, 50 lbs.
    • Carrying: Front carry up to 35 lbs. for 50 feet or less
    • Pushing and pulling forces required up to 30 lbs. sustained
    • Repetitive squatting on both even and uneven surfaces
    • Working overhead from various positions (standing, crouching, or kneeling)
    • Static forward bending from a standing, crouching or kneeling position
    • Trunk rotation from a standing or kneeling position
    • Balancing when climbing and working on a ladder
    • Use of various grip circumferences and strengths as well as static grip positions during the use of various tools (max 50ibs. of grip force)
    Physical Screen will be administered prior to a final offer of employment.

    Minimum Required Experience:

    • High School diploma or GED, as well as at least 12 months of directly related work experience; or any combination of experience and education

      Position Details:

      Work Schedule: Full-time,1.0 FTE (40 hrs./wk.), 12 months/yr., Night Shift 9:00pm to 5:30am. Five days on, two days off.
      Salary: $16.47/hr. to $16.97/hr.
      Union Affiliation: FOCUS-MFPE
      Probationary Period: Six months minimum
