Cardiology Director jobs in Anderson, SC
Cardiology Director leads and directs the staff and programs of the cardiology department. Works closely with hospital staff and physicians to implement standards for patient care that comply with all laws and regulations. Being a Cardiology Director ensures the department meets the current needs and addresses the future needs of patients by introducing new technologies, services, and procedures. This position does not require MD. Additionally, Cardiology Director requires a master's degree. Typically reports to an executive. The Cardiology Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Cardiology Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Responsible for specific tasks related to Cardiology Information Systems and other computer systems within the Cardiology department. Responsibilities include system administration, system maintenance, system patching, database maintenance, system upgrades and report generation. Provides technical and system support for end users in Cardiology and remote facilities. Works closely with our Epic Cupid team on integration and end user support. Candidate should consistently provide excellent customer service to end users.
Qualifications: A technical and/or clinical background accompanied by experience with computers, databases, networking, system administration and system troubleshooting are a good basis to build upon. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in computer science / technical degree required; significant work experience may substituted for formal training. Three (3) to four (4) years experience in working with and managing software applications required. Must have good communications skills with the ability to work courteously and effectively with all levels of staff including physicians, technical staff, health care staff, and vendors.
