    Description

    Fisher College is seeking a Director of Career Services and Employer Relations. The Director is responsible for the strategic leadership of the College’s career service office and all activities to prepare students for internships and help them to secure jobs after graduation.  This individual will direct the office and take a primary role in building employer relations for partnerships and deeper engagement from corporations, nonprofits, and alumni. 

     

    This position is full-time Boston based on Campus.

     

    Primary Duties will include:

    • Manage and provide strategic leadership and guidance for the Office of Career Services including marketing Fisher College students to companies, agencies and recruiting firms that provide internship opportunities, job placements and/or student mentoring.
    • Conduct program evaluation and assessment, including setting measurable goals, objectives, and outcomes.
    • Administer and manage the First Destination graduate survey
    • Conduct programs for students including Career Fairs, Workshops and the Senior Career Conference.
    • Teaching one section per semester of the Career Preparation 3-credit course and managing the curriculum.

    Qualifications


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

     

    • Bachelors degree minimum.  Master’s degree preferred
    • Experience building partnerships with businesses and agencies.
    • Extensive knowledge of student and career development.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly in building collaborative relationships, conflict resolution, problem solving and decision making.
    • Strong organization and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Inclusive student-centered philosophy of providing services and resources.
    • Five years of progressively more responsible experience is required in career development in a higher education setting preferable.
