    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
    2. Supervision of staff to include hiring, scheduling, leave approval, performance counseling, evaluation, training, operational orientation, and staff development.
    3. Responsible for accurate handling of all cash/documents turned in and leaving the Cage on shift.
    4. Process variances according to policy, including cash handling training. Advise management when appropriate.
    5. Conduct research for variances, ticket discrepancies, personnel actions, reviewing surveillance tapes, etc.; document findings and make recommendations to Cage management.
    6. Assist cashiers with slot accounting system operations, including training, discrepancies, and reports.
    7. Proficient in doing fills and/or stackers for kiosks and ATMs.
    8. Shall be able to remain up to date with all Cage requirements and functions through on-the-job training.
    9. Routine computer usage, including spreadsheets, formulas, variance reports, counseling notices, logs, department correspondence, and database systems.
    10. Assist Management in developing operational procedures and best practices.
    11. Participate and attend designated meetings, training, activities, etc., as directed.
    12. Promote a clean, safe, healthy, and friendly work environment for employees and guests. Promptly addresses needs when appropriate and reports all concerns to the Cage Manager.
    13. Promote effective communication with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates through e-mail, daily log, regular staff meetings, co-worker/management/supervisor team meetings, and other forms of communication.
    14. Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Tribal regulatory laws, codes, and policies. Also administer the Employee Handbook, departmental policies and procedures, etc.
    15. Ensure the operation of equipment, tools, materials, etc. are handled safely.
    16. Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
    17. Other assigned duties from Cage Management.

    SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:

    1. Supervise lead cashiers on shift.
    2. Oversee all Cage/Vault cashiers on assigned shifts.
    3. As delegated, Responsible for departmental operation, including signatory authorities, in the absence of the Cage Manager.

     

    SIGNATORY ABILITY:

    1. Verification of cash to paperwork in Cage/Vault.
    2. Key to enter Cage, plus the Key Log.
    3. WRC/Cage Controlled Forms and Documents.
    4. Prize account checks.
    5. Miscellaneous payouts/receipts.
    6. Personnel actions.

     

    ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:

    1. All Cage areas.
    2. Employee satellite files.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Three (3) years of cash handling experience in Casino Cage or Class III Gaming or banking (bank or bank vault experience).
    2. One (1) year of supervisory experience.
    3. High School Diploma or GED.
    4. Customer service experience.
    5. Effective communication skills verbal and written to provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
    6. Demonstrate computer Literacy/proficiency in E-mail, Word processing, Spreadsheets, and database systems.
    7. Requires strong problem-solving, decision-making, and cash-handling skills.
    8. Excellent personal appearance and hygiene habits.
    9. Stand and/or walk for long periods in a smoke-filled, noisy environment; able to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; maneuver and lift to 25 lbs.
    10. Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
    11. Must be at least 21 years of age.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Completion of bookkeeping, accounting, or gaming coursework.
    2. One (1) year of Cage and/or Vault Experience.
