Chemical Dependency Director directs chemical dependency and substance abuse treatment and recovery programs. Leads, supports, and develops care team members. Being a Chemical Dependency Director oversees services from intake through discharge for continuity and quality of client care. Prioritizes client safety and directs crisis management. Additionally, Chemical Dependency Director develops and administers approved standards and guidelines, ensures all licensing and accreditation requirements are maintained. Establishes and administers recordkeeping and reporting processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Typically reports to a director. The Chemical Dependency Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chemical Dependency Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job summary: 

    The Chemical Technician will help identify weed and turf issues, mix chemicals-under the supervision of his or her manager, and use a ride on sprayer or back pack sprayer to treat commercial properties for all of their turf/shrub or tree issues. This person must be able to take direction and get the job done on their own within our time and budget requirements. 
     
     Requirements:

    • Valid Driver's License, with a 3-year driving record-that is insurable 
    • 3 years' experience in Turf Treatments (spraying, chemical mixing and identifying turf issues)
    • Be able to take notes and use computers or other technology to record daily work
    • Ability to converse with clients in a professional manner, if needed
    • Responsible and accountable to be able to do work on schedule on their own
    • Ability to do physical work (Lift 50 pounds)
    • Have knowledge about landscape and plant care to be able to identify different types of turf issues 
    • Must know turf, plants, shrubs, trees and the different types of disease/ pests that could harm them
    • Have knowledge and understanding (how, what, where and when) in the different types of chemicals/ procedures used in this climate
    • Basic mechanical knowledge to ensure equipment is working properly at all times
    • Professional attitude and appearance
    • Maintain equipment and ensure proper use of PPE
    • Pesticide License or ability to get one
