Chemical Technician determines the physical and chemical properties of compounds and materials using quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis. Performs a variety of chemical tests using instrumental methods and standard test equipment. Being a Chemical Technician prepares materials for laboratory examination and conducts quality, safety, and compliance assessments. Follows established SOPs. Additionally, Chemical Technician sets up and maintains lab equipment. Records and tabulates data and documents observations and results. Requires an associate degree in chemistry, science or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Chemical Technician works under moderate supervision. Job summary:
The Chemical Technician will help identify weed and turf issues, mix chemicals-under the supervision of his or her manager, and use a ride on sprayer or back pack sprayer to treat commercial properties for all of their turf/shrub or tree issues. This person must be able to take direction and get the job done on their own within our time and budget requirements.
