• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports as required by accounting and regulatory standards for the size of the Bank.
• Manages the accounting team, corporate governance and audit teams and serves as a critical stakeholder to all departments.
• Reviews budgeting and strategic planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
• Oversees investor relations, including written and verbal communication with investors.
• Manages regulatory and compliance filing processes with the OCC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, and SEC.
• Studies long-range economic trends and projects their financial impact on future growth.
• Ensures that the bank’s strategic and financial compliance initiatives are met by working with professional services providers such as accountants, auditors, examiners, attorneys, and others.
• Manages asset and liability management function including participating the following decisions by the bank: the setting of interest rates offered, decision making for securities purchased, and determining the mix of interest earning assets and interest-bearing liabilities.
• Oversees liquidity management and modeling for the bank, (ALCo).
• Manages the Company’s stock transfer agent and works with current and potential stockholders to ensure that their needs are met (informational as well as transactional).
• Reviews and manages the bank’s corporate insurance needs.

 ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

• B.S degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Previous financial institution or public accounting experience required with an emphasis in banks of a $3B-$10B asset size. 
• Significant investor relations, auditing, and financial modeling experience required.
• Excellent emotional intelligence with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Ten years of experience in financial management required.
• Minimum of 10 years of management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to work in a team environment.

 Preferred:

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
• CPA

 WORK CONDITIONS

• The working conditions are almost exclusively inside the Bank with some overnight travel required for market visits.
• Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
