Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center’s Department of Radiology is seeking a Section Chief of Advanced Abdominal Imaging to join our practice in the beautiful Upper Valley of New Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Abdominal Imager with leadership experience. The Section Chief will mentor faculty and trainees as they develop areas of personal and academic interest and will foster a culture of scholarship and innovation.
Our established Advanced Abdominal Imaging section consists of at least five members and supports 5 weekly multi-disciplinary conferences. This position is primarily based at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, where clinical responsibilities will include interpretation of abdominal (including pancreatic cancer staging, enterography, HCC screening, and staging using LI-RAD criteria), pelvic (but is not limited to) the interpretation of basic and advanced abdominopelvic imaging for staging and respectability of malignancies, benign tumors, inflammatory & infectious conditions). An interest in cardiac imaging would be desirable, but not required. Our MRI facilities consist of 5 MRI scanners: 2 x 1.5T and 3 x 3T magnets.
The successful candidate will join an academic practice comprised of over 40 radiologists. Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center is the only academic medical center in New Hampshire, providing tertiary care services for our region, and serving as the only Level 1 trauma center in the state. State-of-the-art imaging equipment includes 5 MRI scanners: 2 x 1.5T and 3 x 3T magnets, 5 CT scanners, PET/CT and 7 US machines. We use a fully integrated PACS and EMR that includes electronic ordering and protocolling. The radiology department also provides teleradiology and on-site coverage for multiple affiliated hospitals throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. Workflow coordinators streamline local and outreach communications.
