Chief Nurse Anesthetist manages and schedules Nurse Anesthetists who plan, arrange and secure necessary anesthesia equipment. Aids Anesthesiologist in organizing courses of instruction for students, and partakes in resulting programs and demonstrations. Being a Chief Nurse Anesthetist prepares reports and compiles data dealing with specific anesthesia, drugs and techniques, and patients' reactions to them. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Chief Nurse Anesthetist requires Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Chief Nurse Anesthetist typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Chief Nurse Anesthetist typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Summary
    UK Healthcare is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a growing academic medical center – the ideal place to reach the peak of your CRNA profession. CRNAs manage patients of all ages, place invasive lines, and cover most case types including trauma. The selected candidate will care for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for a large case mix. CRNAs can work to their full scope of practice and enhance their skill set with frequent educational opportunities.

    We offer up to $4,000 towards professional development funds as well as 2 CME paid weeks off. Our work-life friendly schedule is Monday -Friday, 36-40 hours per week, (8s, 10s, 12s) with optional overtime. Time and half is also offered for any overtime along with no call.

    Starting income minimum yearly income of $249,995.

    The CRNA will demonstrate an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, and professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills. In addition, the qualified candidate will provide timely and compliant documentation, take responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation, and demonstrate strong communication, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills. The CRNA contributes to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting, and provides leadership to the organization.
