Chief Pilot (Jet Fleet) provides leadership and management of pilots, schedules, and records to maintain efficient and safe flight operations, comply with all FAA regulations, and deliver operational performance on company goals. Maintains the required FAA records and documentation for certifications, crews, flight times, aircraft, and activity. Being a Chief Pilot (Jet Fleet) keeps informed about current aviation developments and regulations that impact flight operations. Coordinates pilot training and development plans to ensure all are ready for flight duty. Additionally, Chief Pilot (Jet Fleet) uses the Safety Management System (SMS) to identify, mitigate, and manage risk in operations. May require a bachelor's degree. Requires Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate. Requires FAA Commercial Pilot's License. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Chief Pilot (Jet Fleet) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. EJM is seeking a Regional Chief Pilot to manage pilots and act as a primary point of contact for Part 91/135 operations in the Northeast region. This position offers the ability to serve as a flight crewmember on EJM managed aircraft on an as needed basis. While flight crew qualifications are preferred, they are not required for this non-14 CFR 119 position. As the Regional Chief Pilot, you will be responsible for managing pilots, attracting and engaging new talent, and serving as a point of contact for owners on pilot-related matters. The Regional Chief Pilot reports directly to the Part 119 designated Chief Pilot. The ideal candidate will have experience in aviation management and a strong understanding of Part 91/135 operations.
This position is vital to our operation and will be responsible for northeast based operations, with a territory of New York (non-NYC Metro), Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. The location for this position is flexible and preference will be given to candidates currently residing within the defined territory.
