Chief Ultrasound Technologist oversees Ultrasound Technologists and maintains the technical aspects of ultrasound services. Acts as a liaison between technologists, physicians and area support staff. Being a Chief Ultrasound Technologist suggests equipment modification and evaluates accuracy and quality of ultrasound images. May perform duties of Ultrasound Technologist as needed. Additionally, Chief Ultrasound Technologist requires an associate degree in ultrasound technology. Requires Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential. Typically requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a senior manager or director. The Chief Ultrasound Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief Ultrasound Technologist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     This role is onsite in Oregon City, Oregon. This role offers Full-Time, Part-Time, and On-Call schedules with flexibility to match your needs.

    Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities
    Performs ultrasound examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment, taking into account individual patient's special or age-related needs.

    Ultrasound Technologist Qualifications
    • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
    • Board eligible for certification at American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
    • Oregon Sonographer upon hire, Or Oregon Sonographer Temporary upon hire.
    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
    • National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
    • New graduates must be board-eligible and obtain certification (ARDMS) within 6 months of hire.
    • New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.

    Preferred:
    • 2 years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound.

    Salary: $84,219-$135,969/year. (DOE)
