Where you fit :

The Batch Processing Operator is responsible for operating a wide range of equipment and processes to accurately and efficiently print, fold, insert and mail tax and utility notices to the residents of PUBLIQ Software customers.

This involves the daily operation of printers, folder / inserters, sheet cutters, and additional specialized equipment, as well as managing inventory, warehousing, and mail services utilizing established procedures.

Additionally, this position will produce assessor and digest books, various reports and guides, as well as multiple marketing materials throughout the year.

In addition to the above, this position also processes data from software to create vehicle tax notices, books, and guides on behalf of customers.

Reports To : Batch Operations Manager.

Location : Spartanburg, SC (on-site)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operation of printer floor equipment :
• Production printers and associated software to produce notices, reports and books.
• Guillotine cutter
• Mail folder & envelope inserters
• Mailer tray bander
• Pressure seal folder
• Neopost mail machine
• Management of paper, envelopes, and supplies
• Keep accurate counts of each item
• Store each item in an organized manner in warehouse
• Alert supervisor when item inventory needs replenishing and when service and / or maintenance is needed
• Communicate status of each job through the process and updating the dashboard daily
• Procures and processes customer data, distributes as required
• Deliver mailer trays daily to the US Post Office (roughly 10am and 3pm)
• Process USPS confirmation / scan sheets for jobs going to the Post Office
• Keep printer floor and warehouse clean and organized
• Serve the additional needs of the department
• Ship out print requests via UPS
• Metering mail that requires it
• Handwork such as folding, coil binding, etc
• Awareness of time, job deadlines, and needs to complete jobs
• Be a team player
• Quality control

Work Conditions :

• Sitting and standing for much of the workday
• Noisy / loud office environment
• Moderate levels of stress may occur at times
• Some lifting up to 40 pounds required
• Overtime will be required at certain times of the year, depending on workload

Required Qualifications :

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years' print / production experience
• General knowledge of basic operation of computer equipment
• Very detail oriented and time management skills
• Ability to maintain general awareness of Springbrook security and privacy policies
• Report any security incident or suspected security incident to the Springbrook Incident Response Team

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
