  • This class manages the reporting, investigation, disposition, and record keeping of workers compensation claims, County vehicle accidents, and general liability claims. The incumbent will monitor all claims types as assigned and will assist in monitoring of litigation files if the claim enters suit. This position reports to and works under the supervision of the Assistant Director, but significant leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an insurance-related program or equivalent experience. Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Must possess working knowledge of claims administration, South Carolina Workers’ Compensation law, and Risk Management principles. Requires three years’ experience OR any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.
