As a part of the architecture team, which is responsible for Vodafone TV solution design and delivery, the role holder is expected to be the lead contributor in the design and architecture of the data ecosystem of Vodafone TV. She/he also actively collaborates with engineering and operational teams to design and deliver the data solutions to enhance VTV product offering & user experience. She/he works to ensure that best technologies and industry trends are incorporated into architectural designs.

Lead the design and evolution of the Vodafone TV data ecosystem which includes the Data Lake, remote management/operational tools etc.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions
You will develop technical roadmaps outlining future directions
Conduct technical feasibility studies and perform cost analysis
Contribute to strategies for data management, data security and privacy
Engage cross-functionally with engineering, data science/analysts, product, and security to deliver best-in-class data solutions and to achieve/deliver business goals

Who you are

Minimum 12 years of experience in TV technologies, and data architecture
Strong experience in designing Data Lake, analytics solutions, ETL processes, etc.
Strong experience in data modeling and relational database design
Strong understanding of NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.
Experience working with big data systems like Hadoop, Spark, Elasticsearch etc.
Strong Experience in REST API specification/design/development
Proficiency in designing data collection/ingestion mechanisms, storage solutions etc.
Experience with reporting and data visualization tools like Kibana, Tableau
Strong experience in integration architecture with third-party systems
Experience in designing operational tools like Remote device management systems
Good knowledge of recommendation engines and virtual assistants like Amazon Alexa
Good knowledge of data anonymization and privacy impact assessment for data processing
Prior working experience in Agile development environment with multiple stakeholders
Development experience (Java, Node.js, etc) is preferred

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Graduate or Postgraduate degree in in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in multiple stakeholder environments.
Strong oral and written communication skills
