Come Join Our Team!  DKW Communications, Inc. (DKW) is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies i.e. defense, law enforcement and security. We are currently looking for a Database Programmer to join our winning team. We are experiencing tremendous growth at this time and seeking to hire bright, energetic individuals to support our team.  The individual hired for this position will provide support to our government customer located at the Denver Federal Center facilities in Lakewood, Colorado. This is a remote position. 

Overview
 The Database Programmer will join our development team, which creates and maintains bespoke web applications for our government client. This is a development role, rather than an operations/DBA role. The Database Programmer will be writing SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and SSIS packages. They will be responsible for migrating existing data from external sources into our SQL databases. The Database Programmer will also work closely with users to maintain data accuracy over time. Specific duties include:

• Collaborate with the web development team to gather and analyze user requirements
• Write complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from databases
• Migrate data from external sources (SQL, CSV, Excel, Access, Oracle, etc.)
• Implement data integration solutions using tools such as SSIS
• Ensure database schema meets quality standards and follows best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve data defects and issues
• Work with users to maintain data accuracy over time
• Write and maintain documentation on business processes and data migrations
• Coordinate, document, and perform QA processes for data migrations

Requirements

A confidential security clearance is required to start, but not to be hired. Candidates with a current confidential clearance are a strong plus. (Please note that this position requires at least 3 years of work history in the U.S. for all non-citizens).

• Must have 4 years of SQL (MSSQL, PL/SQL, MySQL) experience
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, including design and performance
• Ability to analyze user requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Power BI

- Experience with Agile development

- Experience with C#/.NET

Salary: $82,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
