Clinical Educator is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for clinical health workers. Identifies professional development needs, facilitates training, and conducts in-service sessions. Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     The Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for being an expert in their field and will be a department resource for the Nursing Leaders, Nurses and support staff. The Clinical Nurse Educator will coordinate department in-service meetings and staff training activities. This individual needs to be innovative and passionate about clinical education. 

    The Clinical Nurse Educator is expected to have knowledge on the principles and practices of Nursing Education and Patient Care. This person will be responsible for serving as a role model, initiator in problem-solving, decision-making processes, delegating, and communicating information to the nursing staff.

    The ideal Clinical Nurse Educator candidate will be BSN prepared, have their NM or Compact RN License, and will have five years of experience in bedside nursing, as well as familiarity with EMR.
