Reporting to and working alongside the ICU Manager and Director, the Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing expert support to the Critical Care department. The Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist will review and evaluate best nurse practices and ensure the department is adhering to standards of care. The Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist will also provide staff education as well as assist with hiring and training new staff within the ICU. In addition, the Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist will serve as a preceptor on the unit to both new graduate RNs and orient RNs new to the department. The Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist will take pride in providing exceptional and evidence-based nursing care.
