The next president will enjoy leading a successful, financially stable, and well-respected community college and will have the opportunity to work within a shared governance model that includes an elected Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, students, and an engaged community of stakeholders. The ability to foster a shared vision among these stakeholders is paramount, with an unwavering commitment to nurturing a learning-centered environment that seamlessly integrates professional learning experiences and the workforce. The next president will collaborate with these groups to establish educational and administrative policies and practices that will best support NPC’s mission: “Learning is our focus; student success is our goal.”

    • Support the mission of the College by ensuring the availability of financial, physical, and technological resources.
    • Establish a disciplined, innovative, and strategic direction for National Park College, utilizing the wisdom and experience of the Board of Trustees, community, faculty, and staff.
    • Provide stewardship for NPC’s primary directive for student success by hearing the voice of students and supporting initiatives which improve success metrics.
    • Make decisions with courage, transparency, and collaboration within the tenets of shared governance.
    • Effectively advance NPC’s High Priority Objectives, improving on the benchmarks established by the Board of Trustees.
    • Cultivate strategic relationships with the state’s other two- and four-year institutions of higher education, the Arkansas Community Colleges organization, and all federal, state, and local elected officials.

    • Provide oversight for the College’s integrated budget and strategic planning process, master plan, and facilities management strategies.
    • Provide support for the College’s strategic enrollment management plan, including engagement, support systems, and retention programming.
    Education and Experience:
    • Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited college or university.
    • Five years of successful experience in higher education administration, preferably in a comprehensive community college setting.
    • Demonstrated skill and experience leading the functional areas of a college campus, including credit and non-credit academic programming; student success initiatives such as housing, food service, and intercollegiate athletics; facilities management; technology management; and strategic financial planning.
