    Position Summary
    The President serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the College. The President is committed to the mission of the comprehensive community college and its role in community development by establishing effective and mutually supportive partnerships with business and industry, the educational continuum, and community stakeholders. The President has the entrepreneurial skills to identify opportunities with stakeholders and program development to support college efforts to prepare the future workforce. 

    Preference will be given towards applications submitted by February 16th, 2024. 

    Required Minimum Qualifications

    • Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. 
    • Five (5) years of leadership experience appropriate to a senior leadership role in higher education.
    • Experience in academic and student affairs.
    • Proven record of innovative academic leadership and commitment to the highest standards of academic quality and institutional and personal integrity. 
    • Experience in utilizing data from multiple sources to enhance decision making.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Doctorate from a regionally accredited college or university.
    • Direct teaching experience
    • Administrative experience at the community college level
    • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of a comprehensive community college
    • Commitment to and understanding of rural communities and the NIACC region. 

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    Leadership and Engagement:
    - Represent the Board of Directors and the College at the community, state, and federal levels to promote the development of educational policies.
    - Utilize an innovative mindset required to lead transformation.
    - Develop strong partnerships with community stakeholders to address business, industry, and workforce needs.
    - Promote a collegial work and learning environment that empowers and engages employees.
    - Oversee and recommend personnel actions to the Board of Directors in the College's best interest.
    - Value and support people of all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
    - Effectively and diplomatically work with stakeholders, including legislators, board members, businesses, industries, communities, accreditation organizations, and K-12 partners.
    Student Success:
    - Provide direction and strategy that results in measurable student learning and retention improvements.
    - Promote and support a student-centered, collaborative approach to leadership and work with faculty and staff.
    - Stay up-to-date on education and workforce trends and adapt to meet student and community needs.
    Strategic Operations and Governance:
    - Interpret and enforce Board policy statements, recommending necessary changes to maintain a sound operation of the College.
    - Provide leadership to the President's Council, faculty, and staff to develop, implement, and assess goals aligned with the institution's strategic plan.
    - Ensure the College maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
    - Oversee the preparation and execution of approved budgets to ensure ethical and responsible use of institutional resources.
    - Supervise the development of facilities master plan and oversee campus structural growth.
    - Perform in a manner that strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.
