    Job Purpose

    The role of the Vice President of Business Development is critical in steering the organization's strategic growth and expansion. Positioned within the executive leadership, this role holds the responsibility of discerning and leveraging high-impact business opportunities in alignment with the company's overarching goals and objectives. Its primary objective is to spearhead and implement sophisticated business development strategies, promoting innovation, propelling revenue growth, and forging strategic partnerships.

    Responsibilities

    Leadership and Strategic Vision

    • Provide strong leadership to the sales and marketing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
    • Provide business development leadership and representation as one of the three departmental pillars of Paradise Helicopters by working closely with Operations and Maintenance.
    • Recruit, lead, and develop high-performing sales and marketing professionals within the business development team.
    • Develop expert knowledge of each revenue stream’s product positioning in their marketplace, seasonality, pricing strategies and competitive advantages to position the company for success.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
    • Identify market trends, opportunities, and potential risks to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Act as a thought leader within the industry, representing Paradise Helicopters at conferences, events, and through various media channels.

    Sales Growth & Partnerships

    • Establish annual sales goals and drive the sales team to maintain their pipeline and meet or exceed their targets.
    • Implement data-driven approaches to optimize the sales funnel and improve conversion rates.
    • Drive initiatives to expand market share, increase revenue, and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Develop and implement a mechanism for reporting sales and marketing metrics to the wider leadership team to influence decision making across the company.
    • Lead the sales team in achieving revenue targets through effective sales strategies and relationship-building.
    • Develop and maintain key client relationships, focusing on high-value partnerships and accounts.
    • Lead the development of industry partnerships and collaborations.

    Innovative Marketing

    • Drive lead generation through a multi-channel marketing effort on a local, regional, national and global scales.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
    • Oversee the development and execution of innovative marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content, including digital, print, and social media initiatives.
    • Utilize analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Credentials & Experience

    • Legally eligible for employment in the United States of America
    • Hold a valid driver’s license
    • Background check
    • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience
    • Proven experience in a senior sales and marketing leadership role
    • Experience within the aviation or luxury tourism industry highly regarded

    Physical Demands & Work Environment

    • Ability to work outdoors and indoors for extended periods of time
    • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time
    • Ability to lift or carry 20lbs

    Additional

    • Ability to read and write the English language
    • Basic computer skills required
    • Experience with Microsoft Products preferred
    • Possess the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
    • Demonstrated success in leading and motivating sales teams to achieve and exceed targets
    • Extensive experience and a strong track record in sales, with a deep understanding of sales processes and strategies
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
    • A positive and outgoing attitude, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests from diverse backgrounds
    • Conflict resolution skills to handle dissatisfied guests effectively and professionally
    • Ability to think strategically and develop effective sales plans aligned with organizational goals
    • Strong negotiation skills to navigate complex deals and contracts successfully
    • In-depth knowledge of the industry, market trends, and competitors to make informed strategic decisions
