PURPOSE OF POSITION:
A Community Engagement Specialist at Marisol Health:
SUMMARY
The Community Engagement Specialist works with the Marisol Health Director, Marisol Health staff, MH volunteers and in cooperation with The Catholic Charities Marketing and Communications team, to create awareness, and increase funding for Marisol Health. He/she seeks to increase our client base, referrals, volunteers, and donors in support of our life-affirming mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Faith Community Outreach:
Establish working relationships with faith-based community organizations in our targeted geographic regions.
Develop, train, promote and establish a partnership program with area churches to establish partnership, in conjunction with the Volunteer and Parish relations team.
Donor/Volunteer Engagement:
In collaboration with the Mission Advancement team in northern Colorado, encourage local communities to become monthly supporters of Marisol Health by fostering relationships, writing proposals (as appropriate), meeting with financial decision makers. Follow up in person and in writing.
Campus and Community Outreach:
Establish working relationships with local university/college campus personnel to strengthen relationships, provide resources, and increase referrals. Identify key personnel at each campus.
Volunteer Coordination
Recruit and support volunteers for Marisol Health and Marisol Family in northern Colorado.
Create opportunities for volunteer engagement and coordinate individual and group volunteer projects.
Coordinate with the Marketing and Community Engagement team to outreach to potential individuals and groups to promote volunteer participation in Marisol Ministries.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual Preferred- Spanish.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Communications or related field, from accredited four-year college or university; and six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PROVIDER ETHICAL AGREEMENT
Marisol Health strives to provide excellent, evidenced base care that is also morally sound. Providers and staff at Marisol Health have agreed to follow the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services as issued by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid CO driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Salary: $20.00 - $22.00 Part-Time, 20 hours per week.
