Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)
Responsible for the effective operation of the District Mentoring Program as part of our at risk continum of support which includes coordinating & facilitating the mentoring program across the district by:

Recruit, attract, assign, and train mentors to ensure that at-risk students have the services of a mentor.
- Facilitate match meetings; conduct mentor/student reassessments/updates; coordinate mentoring visits.
- Coordinate and track the recruitment efforts to recruit mentors for identified students
- Plan and facilitate training as needed.
- Establish a contact person in each building and communicate regularly.
- Develop and maintain a database that tracks the grades, attendance and behavioral records for all students in both the Mentoring Program.
- Develop and maintain a database that documents mentor involvement and attendance, including a list of all mentors and mentees, the buildings participating in the program and that tracks the yearly participation and attendance of all mentors.
- Compile all bi-weekly and monthly reports and data. Be prepared to share this data with direct supervisor in regularly scheduled bi-weekly program status meetings.
- Collaborate with local churches, universities, cities and civic organizations to identify possible after school activities available in the community. Create a plan to eliminate the barriers and increase participation in after school activities for identified students. Represent the District's mentoring program on community and youth committees when appropriate.
- Develop and implement a plan for collecting yearly feedback from multiple groups of stakeholders (building, administration, adult mentors, student mentees, and families) that can be used to evaluate the success of the program. As needed, use the data collected to make yearly adjustments to the program.
- Deploy professional learning to Mentors that strengthens mentor relationships.
- Plan yearly recognition event(s), and reengagement activities.
- Arrange and facilitate advisory meeting and create minutes from all meetings.
- Conduct exit interviews per program protocols.
- Create promotional materials on mentoring services for recruiting and the district’s website
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Salary
Minimum: $50,452.00
Maximum: $61,489.00

Education and Experience
- BA preferred in the area of social services, human resources, or related field or five years of related experience.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to relate well in multicultural environments and effectively collaborate with other staff members.
- Knowledgeable of research-based strategies/practices regarding mentoring programs & their impact on student achievement.
- Has the ability to build rapport with students and mentors, use diplomacy and tact.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel, as well as Google.
- Able to work flexible hours as needed with supervisor approval.
- Must have good attendance.
