    GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Provide program coordination and collaboration with partners, stakeholders, and communities in the Cape and Islands region to support the HRSA Rural Public Health Workforce Training Network (RPHWTN) grant project.

    EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

    Assist in the coordination and planning for the RPHWTN:

    • Participate in monthly project meetings and subgroup meetings as necessary to support and assist in implementing the assessment and planning process
    • Support the development of a strategic plan to identify ways to achieve better system efficiencies and improve social supports and behavioral health services in our region
    • Work collaboratively with the Cape and Islands AHEC Director to provide and facilitate data and input into the assessment and planning process, which may include data analysis and participation by agency staff and consumers in stakeholder interviews, focus groups or community forums
    • Work with the community college partners/training providers to support curriculum design and development by providing support to the Cape and Islands AHEC Director with input of local needs

    Perform Outreach and Communication for the RPHWTN:

    • Work collaboratively with the Community Engagement Partner and RPHWTN Outreach Coordinator to help them perform outreach, identify potential trainees, and market program training to area residents and employers, with specific attention to underserved, vulnerable, and minority populations such as migrant and immigrant populations in the region
    • Help to communicate the results of the assessment and planning process to key local, state and national stakeholders
    • Support RPHWTN program activities such as the development and review of a communications plan, a community engagement and outreach plan, and a community needs assessment

    Perform Data Evaluation and Reporting for the RPHWTN:

    • Support the implementation of the data collection and evaluation plan by working with the program Data and Evaluation Specialist
    • With Network members and staff, provide data reports as needed to the New England Rural Health Association (NERHA) and the Data Collection Specialist to support required HRSA reporting on baseline and workplan measures

    Job Requirements:


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    :

    • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with external organizations, businesses and the public, and work effectively with the campus community.
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and an understanding of underserved, vulnerable, and minority populations such as migrant and immigrant populations in the Cape and Islands region.
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, e.g., database maintenance, spreadsheet applications, and graphics. Must be an advanced user of the Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team model.

    Additional Information:


    COMPENSATION
    : $30.00 per hour for up to 15 hours per week. Part-time, non-benefited, Non-unit position. Grant-funded through July 2025. Includes option for remote work.
