POSITION TITLE: Save the Children Site Supervisor/Family and Community Engagement Coordinator
F.L.S.A. Non- Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:
REPORTS TO: Save the Children Admin/Assistant Superintendent (Curriculum, Federal Programs)
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Job Goal: To provide direction to all Save the Children district programs; to provide the strategies and support dedicated to maintaining a link between home and school families' success.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Save the Children Site Supervisor:
1. Support Program Specialists efforts to provide direction to all Save the Children programs
2. Work with Program Specialist and School Principals to support Program Coordinators and tutors in planning and implementing
Save the Children programs, assuring that they arrive to work at the agreed time, fulfill the agreed-upon responsibilities, etc.
3. Engage in long range planning by working with Program Specialists and School Principals to write annual partner plans and
budgets
4. Work with Program Specialists and School Princpals to supervise the budget that has been established for the running of the
programs
5. Serve as liaison with the school principal and staff; assuring the integration of STC supplemental literacy programming into the
school day
6. Attend all required STC trainings to maintain a working knowledge of STC programs
7. Serve on school or community committees that have a direct impact on STC program implementation and success

Family and Community Engagement Coordinator:
1. Communicate and assist in implementing the District and building support plans through parent involvement
2. Maintain an accurate log of parent contact time and activities that support the school's support plans
3. Collaborate with classroom teachers, Academic coaches, Parents and building principals to identify and implement specific
workshops/events that show parents how to help their children with homework, standardized tests, reading, math, social studies,
science and other appropriate topics
4. Work with families to become actively engaged in the education of their children
5. Involve parents in volunteering at school and participating in school activities
6. Work with administrators and instructional staff to identify the resources and educational needs of the parents to support
activities at home
