As the Senior Services Outreach Specialist at Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership (EICAP) you will play a crucial role in implementing and expanding our Area Agency on Aging's National Family Caregiver Support Programs. You will coordinate and administer programs such as the Caregiver Support Group, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group, and Powerful Tools for Caregivers workshops. Your dedication and advocacy will help provide valuable support to family caregivers, and you may even get involved in fundraising and community outreach activities.
In addition to your caregiver support responsibilities, you will also serve as our Outreach Specialist, working under the guidelines of the Medicare Improvements for Patient and Provider Act. You will coordinate our Senior Medicare Patrol volunteer program, recruit volunteers, and provide them with training and assignments. You will be responsible for educating Medicare beneficiaries and their families about fraud prevention, as well as assisting local organizations in becoming host agencies for the Medicare Improvement for Patients and Providers Act.
