Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Outreach Coordinator to join our team. As an Outreach Coordinator, you will visit businesses and play a crucial role in introducing professionals (doctors, clergy, senior citizen organizations, business owners / executives, etc.) to Our PLACE and its day program of care, interaction and therapeutic activities for seniors with dementia. The end goal is to educate and spread the word so that it ultimately reaches caregivers and/or causes donations to further support the resources offered by Our PLACE's programs. This position requires self motivation, great presentation and communication skills, ability to overcome objections and a willingness to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties:
- Research, identify and visit potential partners that align with the Our PLACE mission and target population in Loudon, Monroe and surrounding counties.
- Develop a prioritized list of network partners with an established visit recurrence based on a rotating schedule of monthly, quarterly and semi-annually.
-Conduct follow-up communication with identified partners to address inquiries, provide additional information, and encourage the enrollment process.
-Attend regular networking meetings, events and conferences relevant to Our PLACE and aging in place.
-Maintain organized records of outreach activities, including contact information, follow-up actions and outcomes.
-Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and maintain outreach materials, such as brochures, presentations and information packets.
Qualifications:
- Sales experience a plus
- Proven ability to present a professional attitude and appearance, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in all dealings with staff, participants, families, volunteers, the general public and other professionals.
- Willingness to learn, know, understand and articulate the Our PLACE mission, advantages and benefits.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suites and experience with databases.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and project management skills as research, scheduling and follow-up will be primarily done independently (in collaboration with the Executive Director)
- Possess qualities of patience, flexibility, dependability, a passion and knowledge for the population we serve, initiative and mature judgement
This is initially a contract position averaging 20 hours per week. An hourly rate and gas reimbursement for business travel is offered. Hours are flexible, but the majority will be worked during normal business hours.
